Brisbane photographer Dane Beesley strives to uphold his image. He also chooses his friends very wisely. And on December 7, Beesley,s will bet put to the test when he teams up with two of his closest cohorts to launch an exhibition with a theme to please everyone. In a first for Metro Arts, Beesley will be joined by emerging local artist Benjamin Werner and local singer/songwriter Chris Brady in the exhibition A Surface Paradise + Panoramas.
A photographer with Quest Newspapers, Beesley will exhibit a collection on panorama images he shot on recent trips to Thailand and the UK.
Complementing Beesley’s photo-realism are the 20 new oil on canvas paintings that represent Werner’s sublime, contemporary style.
The smooth surfaces of Werner’s works explore obscurity and momements of suspended time.
Completing the unique exhibition is the sultry tones of Brady who will launch his debut EP Mexican Eyes.
Refreshments and finger food will be supplied by local eatery Verve Café and Talarvera Ceramic importer Arts de Mexico.
A Surface Paradise + Panoramas opens tonight from 6 – 9pm and will be on display at the same time every night until late December.
